We offer AFFORDABLE COMFORTABLE TOURIST AND FAMILY ACCOMMODATION in central Kaitaia. Gateway to Cape Reinga and 90-Mile beach. We have 16 spacious ground floor units (65 beds) including single, double, triple, twin and family rooms with ensuites and 4 and 5 bed dormitories for Backpackers. Our accommodation was purpose-built and has a large modern kitchen and TV lounge, broadband internet and outdoor BBQ area. We are only a short, flat walk to local restaurants, bars, supermarket, shops, bus stop and the iSite.

Kaitaia is a GREAT BASE for exploring the unspoilt landscape of the Far North and Bay of Islands. Our tour desk can arrange Cape Reinga tours that depart daily from our Lodge. Tours go to Cape Reinga via Ancient Kauri Kingdom, Gumdiggers Park and 90-Mile beach. Go sandboarding on the golden Te Paki dunes for the adventure of a lifetime. Day tours cost only $45-$55pp and includes lunch. Visit Ahipara during your stay – only a 15-minute drive away – try surfing, quad bikes or blo-karting on the beach and spend some time bone carving at Mainstreet Lodge. More things to do >>
