The Gateway to the Far North with 40 beaches within 40 minutes, including 90-Mile beach, Cape Reinga, Doubtless Bay and a scenic drive to Hokianga, the Waipoua Forest and Tana Mahuta the mighty kauri tree.

You will find Mainstreet Lodge at 235 Commerce St, the north end of town next to KFC.

Bus

Bus stop 1000m from Mainstreet Lodge but if asked,  the bus driver will stop right outside.

Car

We can pick you up from Kauri Kingdom or the bus stop - call to arrange pick-up times.

Plane

Domestic Airport 8km from Kaitaia.  A shuttle bus service operates.
